Throughout 2017, cosmetics was unsurprisingly the largest beauty category in terms of PR mentions, followed by skincare, haircare, fragrance and toiletries. Last year, across print publications, Chanel was the most mentioned brand and also ranked 3rd in terms of EMV. On the other hand, M.A.C dominated the market across online and blogs for PR mentions. The British brand, Charlotte Tilbury ranked 1st across social media, generating £15,986,410 of EMV in 2017, outperforming its competitors such as M.A.C, Fenty Beauty, Urban Decay and L’Oréal Paris.
